13 th- First Meeting- Meet and greet, schedule and silly “get-to-know-you” questions.
20 th- U.S. Topic: paganism, Wicca & sexuality-Universal Spirituality
has been asked to help "one of our own", a local Wiccan named Seneka
is working on a masters degree in sexuality and is doing her paper for
a religion and sexuality class on paganism and sexuality and will be a
quest at this weeks U.S. group where she will lead us thru a round
table, focus group style open discussion on the beliefs Wiccans/pagans
have about the wonderful world of sexuality esp. Come contribute a lot
or a little to this project, either way it should prove to be an
entertaining night of discussion and you will be helping a fellow pagan
to boot!
27 th- Movie Night!-Bring your soda, snackies and pillows for a night
at the movies!

4 th- Herbal Sachets- This week Brenna will take us thru herbal sachet
making, what they are, what herbs to use, how to make them and for what
purposes you can use herbs and cloth for magick and healing. This will
not only
be informative, but fun too since we will get to make our own herbal
sachets, charge them and have goodies to take home! wheeee herbs!
11 th- Open discussion on Moon Phases & Magick- This week we will
explore moon magick. What does new moon, full moon, waxing and waning
moon mean? What type of energy is around during the various moon phases
and what can you do magickally, spiritually and mundanely to celebrate,
honor and use the energies of the various moon phases. This will be a
great time to share personal experiences as well as voice questions
about the moon phases and explore lesser known and understood things
such as dark moons, blue moons and other lunar phenomenon. We will be in
a waning phase this night so come prepared for a mini waning moon
ritual!
18 th- Geology of Ghosts, Fault Lines and the “Supernatural”- Jim Jung,
writer and publisher of the Waterman & Hill Regional Outdoor Almanac
will share his experiences and research about ghosts and where they are
most commonly found (right here at home in Southern Illinois) and why
they seem to “haunt” fault lines and other geological formations. This
will be an entertaining and educational treat for the spooky month of
October!
25 th- Open Discussion on Real Life Ghost Stories - Part 2 of ghost
sharing! This night we will open the floor to sharing of personal
experiences with ghosts and the “supernatural”. Bring stories of your
own experiences, scary or not, of ghosts, poltergeists and things that
go bump in the night. Call your friends and family members to share
their stories too. Know of haunted places in our region? Have
photographic “proof” of ghosts? Bring it all with you for a fun and
entertaining night of stories and experiences.

1 st- Finding your “Magickal Name” Using Numerology-This will be a
hands on workshop to use different tools of numerology to figure out the
power of names and numbers and to figure out what name, or names, might
be a powerful tool for use in your magickal and spiritual journey. Bring
along any stories of name searches or spiritual experiences you have had
in relation to your name, whether its you given name, nickname or self
chosen magickal name to share with the group if you wish.
8 th-Native American Pipe Ceremony - What has become a fall ritual of
sorts for U.S., Steve Purkaple will share his Native American Pipe in a
sacred ceremony of connection to spirit thru the ancient power and
ritual of sharing the Sacred Pipe. Although the pipe is smoked, and
sacred tobacco is in the Pipe, it is appropriate for non smokers as well
and is an amazing yet simple way to pray, connect to your deity and ask
for spiritual guidance,help or simply to honor the “Great Spirit”,
God/Goddess, the Universe...whatever name you call it!

Whichever day is the last meeting will be Yule Ornament Painting. U.S.
did this hands on craft night a few years ago and everyone had a blast
so we’re doing it again! U.S. will provide the ornaments and the paints,
you just bring your imagination, creativity and sense of fun!
